According to site plans submitted to the City of Charleston Design Review Board, a “small restaurant” is coming to Daniel Island inside the Bellinger, a luxury boutique hotel currently being planned. The proposed 38-room hotel, event space and restaurant is located at 1995 Daniel Island Rd.

The Daniel Island Architectural Review Board approved the project’s conceptual design in June 2022. The restaurant will be located inside of the main 11,200 square-foot hotel building. Four 8,500 square-foot guest houses, two cottages and two cabanas are also included in the drawings.

We don’t have further details on the menu items for the new F&B concept, but we do know The Indigo Road Hospitality Group will be operating the eatery. Helmed by Executive Chef Jeremiah Bacon, Indigo Road owns and operates hotels and restaurants throughout the nation, including 11 open F&B concepts in South Carolina alone. We also know the hotel is on the waterfront, so perhaps we can expect some seafood?

King and Society Construction are the developers. Representatives for the Bellinger project could not immediately be reached for comment.
