While specific addresses for the Summerville and Goose Creek branches haven’t been disclosed yet, the Myrtle Beach outpost will be situated at 391 Seaboard St, #K2. Edwin Ng, the Chief Donut Officer for the Carolinas, did not respond to What Now Charleston’s request for comment, leaving uncertainty about whether these forthcoming locations will be franchisee- or corporate-owned.

Founded in Cerritos, California in 2020 by Jaewook Ha, Mochinut now operates over 100 locations nationwide, as well as sites in South Korea and Thailand. Known for their distinctive donuts crafted from rice flour, Mochinut’s signature treats feature eight small balls interconnected in a circle. Among the flavors are strawberry funnel, matcha, Nutella, and yogurt.

In addition to their signature donuts, Mochinut offers donut balls with a range of cream-filling flavors, creative corndogs with batter flavors like crispy ramen and Hot Cheetos, as well as tea, coffee, and a selection of soft serve.

Presently, South Carolina hosts one Mochinut eatery located in Greer. As the three new Mochinut locations begin to take shape, keep an eye out for specific addresses and opening day updates.
