Two local branches of a popular international chicken chain—one currently closed and the other pending—will soon undergo renovations.

The Chick-fil-A at 2013 Magwood Dr in Ashley Crossing temporarily shut down for upgrades on June 15, 2024. Franchisee Megan Jacques took to social media to share the news, stating:

We’re all about enhancing your Chick-fil-A experience, and this renovation is going to take things to a whole new level of awesome! 🚀 …stay tuned for updates on our grand REOPENING – it’s going to be EPIC!🎊⁠

Meanwhile, another Chick-fil-A at 1312 N Main St in Summerville has applied for a permit with the Department of Health and Environmental Control as part of a planned remodeling project, according to The Post and Courier. This renovation will expand the restaurant and drive-thru, as well as add some additional parking. Franchisee Chris Walker owns this location, as well as another in Goose Creek.
