At the beginning of the year, What Now Charleston reported that a growing, Georgia-based Tex-Mex chain would soon open its first South Carolina site in Beaufort, though details were sparse at the time. Now, additional information has been revealed.
Surcheros Fresh Mex is set to open at 351D Robert Smalls Pkwy in Beaufort Station, a developing hub for retail, dining, and grocery. Doug Puryear, who will franchise the location alongside Brian Smith, confirmed this news with What Now Charleston.
With over 30 locations across Florida and Georgia, Surcheros is celebrated for its fresh, Mexican-inspired offerings, featuring customizable Chipotle-style burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and more.
A company representative told What Now Charleston that the forthcoming eatery is scheduled to open on November 12, 2024.
