The brewery will move into a 26,800-square-foot facility at 0 Beer Garden Way, next to Trophy Lake off Maybank Highway.

Charleston County News reports that the new facility will feature a state-of-the-art brewing system, event space, and the capacity to meet the growing demand for Low Tide’s wholesale products.

According to a South Carolina Department of Commerce news release, the $22.2 million investment is expected to create 33 new jobs, with hiring set to begin two months prior to the opening.

“Low Tide Brewing is thrilled to expand our brewing operations in Charleston County. Demand for our products has grown steadily as we continue to strengthen our reputation in the community,” said Low Tide Brewing founder Mike Fielding in the release. “We are excited to expand our capabilities so we can support our community even more while producing plenty of tasty brews.”

Since 2016, Low Tide has been serving a variety of beers and seltzers at its original Johns Island location. Although the brewery doesn’t have an onsite kitchen, it frequently hosts food trucks in its outdoor space. The new larger facility will also feature a restaurant.

Low Tide Brewing is scheduled to open in mid-2026.
