Chef Anthony Marini, owner of The Pass Panino and Provisions at 207-A Saint Philip St in downtown Charleston, is reimagining the casual sandwich spot as a dinner destination.

The Pass will soon transform into The Italian Boy by night, offering a unique dining experience that blends dinner party fun and family-style Italian home cooking.

The $110-per-person meals will be served Wednesday through Saturday beginning at 7 p.m., according to The Post and Courier. This re-envisioned evening service will bring a fresh energy to the space, which is typically quiet after lunch service ends at 3 p.m.

The Italian Boy will offer a two-hour, semi-private dining experience inspired by the hearty, family-style meals served in Philadelphia’s Italian neighborhood rowhomes.

This bold shift follows a challenging chapter for The Pass, which temporarily closed earlier this year after a driver crashed into the side of the restaurant. In a show of resilience, Marini and his staff served sandwiches out of the window for more than six months while the space was being repaired. The restaurant officially reopened in September.

Reservations for The Italian Boy will be available on Resy starting November 20, with service set to begin in December. To learn more about the concept, visit theitalianboychs.com.
