Woodhaven Pizza will soon be serving up New York-style pies at the Indigo Square shopping center in Mt. Pleasant.
Inspired by the pizza scene surrounding the Woodhaven subway stop in Queens, NYC, the menu features New York pizzeria mainstays like salad, antipasti, New York-style pies, Sicilian pies, Woodhaven artisanal pies, heroes, pastas and Italian desserts.
Woodhaven will mark the third concept by BENE Hospitality Group owners Ty and Karen Mennuti-Raju. The couple has had great success with their other Lowcountry endeavors, SAVI Cucina + Wine Bar and Sommba Gastrobar.
Also joining the pizza joint venture will be James Beard recognized Chef Vincent Barcelona, who was recently named Chief Culinary Officer at BENE Hospitality, and Craig and Sonia Sodano, with family ties back to pizza making in Naples.
The owners could not be immediately reached for comment.
