“We are incredibly excited to announce our newest concept, BY THE WAY,” the Instagram post reads. “BTW is a FOXY neighborhood tavern featuring Charleston’s most talented musicians, elevated pub fare, approachable cocktails and an old world intimate vibe that will have guests coming back for more!”

In a previous interview with What Now Charleston, co-founder of Uptown Hospitality Group Keith Benjamin said the then unnamed concept would be an “elevated” bar and restaurant right around the corner from Uptown Social.

Uptown Hospitality launched in 2018 with its first concept, Uptown Social, a popular alehouse known for its lively atmosphere. They announced the inception of Bodega, a New York-inspired breakfast and lunch spot, and Share House, a beachy cantina, in the spring of 2020. Their second Bodega location is slated to open in Mt. Pleasant in around a month.
