According to the eatery’s website, The Dolly Llama will soon debut outlets in Myrtle Beach at 505b 9th Ave N and in Charleston. While the exact address for the Charleston location has yet to be announced, WMBF News reports that construction is underway for the Myrtle Beach locale.
The upcoming openings follow the successful launch of the Mount Pleasant The Dolly Llama by owners Candance and Michael McNerny last November. The couple, who signed a multi-unit agreement, is at the helm of these new endeavors. Michael informed What Now Charleston that more information will be shared as plans progress.
Founded by Samuel Baroux and Eric Shomof in 2017, the inspiration behind The Dolly Llama came when Baroux met Dolly, a real-life llama, in the South of France. Enthralled with Dolly’s vibrant spirit, the founders decided that she would be the perfect mascot for their ice cream and waffle venture.
The Dolly Llama is celebrated for its fun and creative approach to desserts, offering a variety of indulgent treats like decadent milkshakes and bubble waffles, which are adorned with a variety of sweet toppings.
Keep an eye out for more information and updates on the grand opening days of these locations.
UPDATE: At the time of this article’s initial publication, it was uncertain if Candance and Michael McNerny were associated with the forthcoming The Dolly Llama locations. However, Michael has now informed What Now Charleston that the duo will be overseeing these new establishments. This article has been revised to include the updated information.
